Honeymoons and Hard Work

It may come as a surprise, but we are close to halfway through the program. For some people, this is a point at which the excitement of beginning a new program can fade. Realizing the hard work that is required to put these practices into your everyday life can be challenging. We have run a lot of groups and have seen this come up on a number of occasions.

In fact, we often ask people who have completed the program, “What’s the one piece of advice you would like to give to someone who is struggling in the middle of the program?”

It is interesting that the most consistent feedback from past group members for future group members is: “Stick with it, as best you can.” And “Don’t be ashamed if you are having difficulty completing the home practice, it’s very, very normal.”
