Nourishing and Depleting Activities
If you find that you can’t reduce the number of depleting activities in your life—for example, if you are taking care of an elderly parent or driving a carpool—what might happen if you performed this activity more mindfully? Would you be willing to give this a try?

It may come as no surprise to learn that the things we actually do, whether moment by moment, hour to hour or day to day play a strong role in helping us maintain wellness. Paying greater attention to more of your moments lets you see which activities increase your sense of being alive and present, which take this away from you and also, which activities or demands may need to be accepted, but perhaps can be approached through a more mindful mode. Mindfulness helps us choose what we really need in each of these moments, and allows our activities to be an ally in helping regulate our moods.
